  • NUD Collection

Their importance lies in the details which separates great from good design, according to the architect and designer Mies van der Rohe. N.U.D. Collection was created out of this spirit where plain becomes beautiful. Change a room with an unexpected combination. Match, create contrasts, but more importantly experiment.

Our designers: With a background in high fashion and sports, Eva Angwald was not the obvious choice. But we had a good feeling about her. She saw no differences between designing textile cables and designing a spring collection of womens fashion. The modus operandi is always the same, Eva explains: “Start with a good idea, add some fashion and colors, and there you go…”

If Eva was not the obvious choice, Charlotte Falck was. For over a decade Charlotte has devoted her life to interior architecture and lamp design, starting with a Master’s Degree in Interior Architecture in 1999. Her inspiration lies in the pure Nordic style combined with Hong Kong’s whirlwind tempo and exclusive taste.

  • String

Certain things become so strongly associated with an era that they become timeless - this is certainly true of Nisse Strinning’s string shelf which was designed in 1949.

It may seem strange that something as simple and humble as this little dainty light shelf with its thin side panels has become one of the twentieth century's foremost icons of design.  The reasons are several; the thin packaging is simple and cheap to transport, the shelf is easy to assemble, the plain of the shelf can be quickly moved, shelves of various depths can be combined and books held in place by the side panels, it is stable and can be built out in all directions.

Whether the wall surface is large or small string is functional.  It’s the side panel which gives string its character.  Elegant and lean-limbed are the coloured threads a slender "ladder" which ascending the ingenious walls, variable, flexible.

  • Zero

Our hearts have grown up in the gloomy darkness of the Scandinavian winter and in the brilliant sunshine of the Scandinavian summer. A double life that involves us in a complicated love affair with light and shadow, darkness and shape. This double life creates a fantastic seed bed for functional design, combined with emotion. When Zero was set up in 1978, the founders had long experience – of glass. This experience lead them to leave glass for a while – then return – and begin manufacture lighting fixtures from sheet metal instead. Borge Lindau, the designer, was attracted by the daring idea and began a long-term involvement. Now Zero works in many different materials and cooperate with many exciting Scandinavian designers such as Thomas Bernstrand, Mattias Stahlbom, Fredrik Mattson, Front, Mia Gammelgaard, Jens Fager, Tham & Videgard, Johan Carpner, Monica Forster and more.
